Hands-on Fitness (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is a personal fitness tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.
By using Hands-on Fitness, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google as part of the OAuth flow.
We collect the workout data you enter, including exercise names, sets, reps, weights, personal records, session notes, and workout plans. This data is used solely to power your personal fitness experience.
If you choose to log body metrics (weight, measurements, etc.), this information is stored securely and used only to display your personal progress.
Any fitness goals, personal notes, or preferences you set within the app are stored and used to personalise your experience.
We may collect anonymised usage information (such as feature interactions) to improve the application. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
Supabase / PostgreSQL
Secure database storage for all your account and fitness data. Data is stored in the United States.
Google OAuth
Optional sign-in method. We only receive your name and email. We do not have access to your Google account beyond what you authorise.
Stripe
Processes subscription billing and payments. Payment card details are collected by Stripe, not stored by us.
Resend
Sends transactional emails such as verification, reset, and invite messages.
PostHog
Usage analytics when you opt in to analytics consent. We use this to improve product quality and onboarding.
Sentry
Error and crash monitoring used to diagnose and fix stability issues.
Spotify
Optional integration for workout listening history and playback controls when you explicitly connect your Spotify account.
Anthropic (Claude AI)
Powers AI coaching features such as form tips, plateau-busting suggestions, and workout generation. Your exercise name and session context may be sent to Anthropic's API. No personally identifiable information is included.
YMove Exercise API
Provides exercise videos and AI form analysis. Your exercise name and, for form analysis, an uploaded or recorded video are sent to YMove's API. Please review YMove's privacy policy for details on video handling.
Vercel
Hosts the application. Vercel may collect standard server access logs (IP address, request metadata) in accordance with their privacy policy.
We retain your account and fitness data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@handsonfitness.app. Upon verified request, we will delete your data within 30 days.
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an encrypted database. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Hands-on Fitness is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
